From 23 to 24 September, Ms. Cheang Ka Lai, Director of the Department of Studies and Curriculum Development (Primary and Kindergarten), and Kindergarten Teacher Ms. Cavon Cheang travelled to Shanghai to attend the PBLWorks closed-door leadership meeting and the FISS 2026 Future Infinite Student Summit 📚
During the leadership training workshop, Bob Lenz, CEO of PBLWorks, shared core ideas on building a supportive PBL school culture. He inspired educators to reflect on what high-quality PBL classrooms look like, encouraging educational leaders to adopt the mindset of “improving oneself and empowering others” to drive pedagogical innovation.
The summit featured distinguished OECD guests including Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills at OECD and initiator of PISA, and Miho Taguma, Senior Analyst at the OECD Directorate for Education and Skills. Director Cheang presented our school’s PBL implementation progress and held in-depth discussions with the two OECD experts. We look forward to sustaining international dialogue and exploring future collaborations to advance our PBL pedagogy 💡
With fresh global perspectives and cutting-edge educational ideas, our team will return to school and continue refining our child-centred inquiry-based curriculum.
