On February 24, the 9th “Future Diplomat” Youth Speech and Foreign Language Literacy Program National Finals was successfully held in Beijing. Seamus from P5G won the National Champion (Upper Primary Group), while Jun from P1G took the National First Runner-up (Lower Primary Group).
Accompanied by Ms Jessie, Director’s Assistant for Primary and Ms Juno, they competed in Beijing and claimed two national top-three awards among more than 1,500 finalists. Seamus impressed judges with an original AI song featuring Chinese traditions, new-era development, rap and dragon dance, while Jun delivered a strong speech based on Macao stories. Both were invited to record for a national TV programme.
Our school also won the Outstanding Team Award. Emilia served as Macao’s flag bearer at the closing ceremony, and Jun, Paddy and Yaya performed We Are the World to spread a message of peace.
