The opening ceremony for the exhibition “Athletic Horizons: An Artistic Cultural Exchange Across Oceans” was successfully held. Officiating guests included Mr. Leong I On, Head of Division of Secondary Education of DSEDJ; Mr. Nuno Miguel Melo Furtado, Representative from Cape Verde to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum (Macao); Dr. Rui Cunha, The President of the Rui Cunha Foundation; and Ms. Catarina Cottinelli da Costa, Director of Macau-China Delegation of Orient Foundation. Student representatives Colin Ma and Bianca Ng also took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Representatives from schools, Mr. Ma Chi Seng, from the Sports Committee and Secretary General of the Sports and Olympic Committee, and parents also attended the event to witness students’ cross-cultural creative achievements.
Following the ceremony, teachers and students introduced the creative concepts to guests, who highly praised the students’ artistic expression and cross-cultural vision. Vice Principal Kuok presented Mr. Nuno Miguel Melo Furtado with the “Landscape Photographs of Cape Verde” to commemorate the friendship between the two regions.
